 RIKEN Nishina Center is seeking for a research scientist or senior research scientists who will be affiliated with the Nuclear Many-Body Theory Laboratory at the RIKEN Nishina Center for Accelerator-Based Science. The successful candidate will lead advanced theoretical research on nuclear structure and reactions. In detail, the candidate is expected to engage in research on nuclear structure based on fundamental nuclear forces or in the development of microscopic theories of nuclear reactions, as well as in their related applications. In addition, the candidate will be expected to actively take part in interdisciplinary research promoted by RIKEN platforms such as RIKEN TRIP and RIKEN Quantum, contributing to the integration of nuclear theory with machine learning and quantum computing. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research and development on topics specified above and to contribute to the management of the laboratory. Senior Research Scientist is also expected to assist the laboratory head.

Research Assistant Professor position at the INT, USA
The Department of Energy’s Institute for Nuclear Theory, at the University of Washington, invites applications for an “INT Fellow” position starting Fall 2023. This position carries the rank of Research Assistant Professor within the Physics Department, and is a limited term appointment for a duration of up to 5 years. This is a full-time, 12-month position and is not eligible for tenure. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. Opportunities are available for teaching and graduate student supervision. The INT’s local research interests include QCD, lattice gauge theory, quantum computing, many-body theory, nuclear astrophysics, effective field theory, weak interactions and symmetries, relativistic heavy ion physics, high energy nuclear physics, and nuclear structure. The Institute hosts approximately 450 visiting scientists each year, representing all areas of nuclear physics as well as its intersections with neighboring subfields.

The base salary range for this position will be $6,024 - $6,500 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Qualifications:
